Meskarau, v - Vulcan for 'to hold', to have and keep in one's grasp; to keep from departing or getting away.
...and then my inner language geek jumped up and insisted that I figure out if there were different verb endings depending on whether the verb was talking about a he/she/it, and I had to pry myself away from the website before five seconds of searching for a suitable word to use as a title for this turned into five hours of reading Star Trek websites looking at random information.
Anyway, here's a lovely little Spock/Uhura piece. Honestly, I haven't been this taken with a pairing since...well, since my Genma/Shizune shipping days, I believe. I mean, I've like other pairings since, sure, but this is the first one that's made me feel all wibbly and happy whenever I read something about them.
Pretty happy with how Uhura turned out here, though her right hand is a little wonky. Also, it's hard to see how her legs curve here, but I like how they look in the original sketch. Also, her left hand turned out well.
...Spock decided that he didn't want to be drawn properly the first twenty or so times I tried sketching his face for this picture. It was incredibly annoying. I'm still not entirely happy with him, but oh well.
The new Star Trek movie has made me like Star Trek again in a way that I haven't since Voyager went off the air.

I'm glad you like Spock's face. It took forever to make it look right.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
